Analyzing The Muse – The State Of Muscle Meditate

Hey what are you waiting for? Subscribe to my RSS feed!

I made a short video talking about the state of the MuscleMeditate.com.

We really should wait until we’ve had 200+ visitors to make any kind of conclusions but I’m just going with a gut feeling here. The product isn’t as defined as I want it to be. And like I said, this would be better as a back-end product to sell. But who knows, maybe something will happen with this in the future.

This is the beauty of testing the muse – if something isn’t working we can move on quickly and inexpensively. I’ve got a few other projects in the works that I’m really excited about testing. We’ll just keep doing this until something sticks.

Hey Derek, cool blog. I found you through your post on JetSetLife.

I have some thoughts. And I am no expert, just another beginner.

First, I like the idea. How passionate about it are you? Have you researched and found competitors in this area? It would be interesting to see what others have done. What formats and pricing they offer, if any. You might need to offer more than just the downloadable mp3s. Maybe a companion PDF, such as a guide or list of other resources. Maybe premium membership to a forum where users could share insights or gain even deeper training in this technique.

I think you also need some credibility indicators on your sales page. Quotes from users, links to any interviews you’ve done on this topic. Get an article in a respected body-building website or magazine. Hold a free seminar and get quotes from participants, etc..

I like Tim’s discussion of testing purchase price via an online auction.

    How about a 2x money-back guarantee?

In Tim’s examples he allotted $50 a day for testing via Adwords. You definitely need more traffic to decide whether or not it is viable or not. You might consider using Yahoo Search Marketing which is cheaper than Google for testing.

Darryl – Thanks so much for the comment.

    1. I’m very passionate about this idea. It’s something I believe in. I gained a lot of muscle in 7 weeks and I think the meditation and visualization techniques I used were the difference.

    2. From the research I’ve done there is zero competition – no other products that I’ve found.

    3. I think you’re definitely right about offering a PDF and a membership site would be awesome.

    And…

    4. The seminar idea is great. Only problem is I’m in Colombia right now.

    5. You’ve brought up a ton of good points here. I don’t think I’m done with testing this product for good, but right now, I see it as a nightmare to market mainly bc there’s no one else talking about it…if I were a respected bodybuilder or certified coach then I’d see this as an advantage.

Can I ask you were you using screenflow software for this video. Thought it was really slick and would like to try it.

I have subscribed to your blog, look forward to learning more about finding your muse, thanks

Yeah, I’m using ScreenFlow. It’s extremely easy to use and I love it so far. I highly recommend it.
